Some of our graduates share their experiences of what it's like to study, live and work in Sheffield and what they've gone on to do since graduating.

They were really genuine about helping mature students get back into education.

Lloyd Wright Politics and Modern Languages BA

Lloyd Wright joined the Сŷ��Ƶ of Sheffield as a mature student. After previously working as a chef in Australia, he came back to the UK to study Politics and Modern Languages with a Foundation Year. Since graduating, he has been accepted onto a masters course in Creative Writing which will begin in 2024.

Chloe Melvin Sociology BA

Chloe studied a BA in Sociology at the Сŷ��Ƶ of Sheffield from 2016 to 2019 and played an active role in the Sociological Society. Since graduating, she has gone on to find a career in Social Value which supports both the public and private sector to work together to deliver meaningful benefits for the community.

Dougal MacKenzie Sociology BA

Dougal studied a BA in Sociology at the Сŷ��Ƶ of Sheffield, graduating in 2016. Since, he has gone on to build a career in postgraduate education and now works as the Head of Client Services at FindAСŷ��Ƶ.

Ailsa Rhodes Sociology BA

Ailsa studied sociology for her undergraduate at the Сŷ��Ƶ of Sheffield. Graduating in 2020, she now works as a digital content coordinator at the Сŷ��Ƶ’s student union.
