I was at my girlfriend’s house this past weekend. I have not been there in about two years. Her house is nice and roomy. She has very tall ceilings which gives it a nice spacious feel, and the stairs that lead to the bedrooms, can be seen from the dining room where I was sitting.
While I was getting aquatinted with her children, I kept seeing something going up and down the stairs. At first I thought it was one of her kids because it appeared to be small, it looked similar to a child. Then I saw it again, but this time the children were downstairs right in front of me. I actually stood up because I wanted to catch a good look. My attempt failed, I could not make out any specific form, so I kept it to myself.
Later that day when I was sitting next to my daughter, I kind of whispered to her that I was seeing something hanging around the front door. I also told her I saw it go up and down the stairs several times. She quickly turned her knees inward and leaned toward me. With a distracted look on her face she said, “I saw it too.” She explained how she wasn’t sure what she was seeing, but she did in fact notice it.
I wanted to mention it to my friend, so I waited for her to have a free moment, and then I told her.
The hairs on her arms stood up. She told me that she too will see things in that same area. She wasn’t sure if it was just her. I think this could confirm that it is not her eyes needing a new prescription, and she never told me that she was experiencing this kind of activity so. Her dog passed away and thought maybe it was her, but I really couldn’t say.
I did not feel anything bad. I was actually confused by it. I do not know why it stayed in the same area, and I do not know why I only saw it going up and down the stairs. I did not see it anywhere else in the house. It was definitely strange, but what’s even weirder is that after I mentioned it to my girlfriend, I did not see again the rest of the time I was there.
*Does anyone have any thoughts?

Welp, I can’t tell you what it was but I can tell you this. It did obviously got your attention, because once you mentioned it, it stopped. It seems to me that whatever it was wanted to be noticed.

Well they do say our world runs parrell with the spirit world. Maybe there was somekind of activity going on that was in the exact same area but in a different realm.
I am sure there would be a millio theories on this one.

I have had a few similar experiences, only I always think I am crazy because it happens so fast and then I start wondering if I really did see something. Nice that you were able to confirm it with your daughter and your friend.

There is some kind of theory out there that says certain areas or materials will hold history and sometimes events get caught up in it leaving it to happen over and over again.
For instance, lets say a person had built a small walk through a rock. They say the voices can be heard saying or making the same sound over and over again because the rock absorbed the sound waves and it constantly is bouncing back and forth.
Maybe, I don’t know if this is true.

Yes, it is always nice when you have someone else to validate you. With this subject, there are many times one could think they are going nuts, or have some mental disability. It is all about being able to validate it some how.
I usually will go up and beyond to make sure the event has been validated. That for the most part, it can not be explained. I don’t like to make a big deal out of something that may just be a piece of mascara in my eye lol

Interesting, something was there, it was seen by more the one person. Could be an image locked in time. Usually if it is a spirit, you will see different movements in different areas. If it is the same repeated image, it is usually a image locked in time. The reason you didn’t see it anymore, is because you placed a mental block, when you suspected it was one of the children or a living animal, your mind was open to the experience. When you suspected it that is something not of the world, your scope of awareness changed. Of course these are only my thoughts, could mean something else entirely.

We did consider it to be the dog, however it did not have the shape of a pooch. It looked more like an outline of a child, so I personally don’t feel as though it was the family dog.

Angie seemed to have a similar explaination. I think there may be some truth to this now that I am thinking about it. And I agree with your idea about blocking it out. I guess once it was placed, there was no need to be open to the possibilities any longer
