There was a house we once rented. It was a little older than most. There were four floors…the basement, the main floor, upstairs where the bedrooms were, and the attic.
There were a set of stairs that you had to walk up in order to get to the attic. It wasn’t the popular pull down style. The whole house was weird.
My first strange experience with this house was when I was about eight months pregnant with my first child. I had opened the door that led to the attic and saw an image of a small child with blonde hair, tumble down the stairs. It took my breath away because it scared me. I slammed the door real fast, and yelled out to my mother.
I went running down stairs to where my mom was, and told her of the event. I was thrown by it. I never saw anything like that before. That’s when it all started.
A month after my daughter was born, my mother’s friend bought a squeaky toy for the baby. It was an apple that was very loud and annoying! I kept it down stairs because we never used it.
One night while we were all upstairs, we heard this toy sound off really loud and long as if someone was squeezing every bit of air out of it. {SSqquueeekk} We all froze….. Obviously it was not us who squeezed it…. Who did, still remains a mystery.
Then I know this is going to sound crazy but, articles of clothing began to disappear, especially the underwear. We figured it was the machine, because it is not uncommon to have a hungry washer eat the socks, but when my mother’s sheet set was gone, our thoughts changed.
I was the one who basically did the wash. We use to throw the clothes down the stairs to the basement. While I was down there one day, my mother said to do her sheets as well.
I looked all over for them. She said she threw them down that morning. I was the only one home, everyone else went to work as usual, so where did they go? I drove myself nuts looking around and behind the stairs and washing machine; they were nowhere to be found.
It was almost two weeks later when I was down there doing the wash, and I felt this heated feeling on the left side of my body. It was as if something or someone was trying to get my attention. I turned my head and there they were; my mother’s sheets nicely folded!!!!!
I ran up the stairs questioning everyone in the house. They all looked at me with a blank face. I kept asking who found them? Who folded them????? They were just as confused as me.
There was another event that took place. I was with my girl friend sitting on my bed. The door was opened so we could see into the hallway. All of a sudden, a cup went flying out of the bathroom and down the hall. It was as if someone chucked it full force; we were the only ones in the house!!!….. That is until we went running outside.
Then there was the time my mother, sister, and I were sitting at the kitchen table. We saw a white mass glide down the stairs and through the door that led to the basement. They said I turned as white as the mass. I guess I had a better view of the “ghost”.
I am not sure what or who it was doing all of these things, but I can tell you, after a few months, these mischievous things stopped and an evil being came in. I would see dark shadows all the time. My sister was terribly taunted by them. So many times my sister would run up the stairs to my mother, or I saying how they would not leave her alone. I am telling you, there were times when you could feel this thing hovering over your head, or right in front of your face. My sister felt it sit down right next to her on her bed!!!!!
It just got to the point where we were itching to get out of that house. The house was old. It had electrical problems. there was asbestos in the basement….Guess what…..We did not renew the lease

Lucid, you should have called Ghost Busters. JK …. You did the right thing by moving. I wonder if the new people who lived there experienced anything like that.
