A child alone in the dark, what seems to be the only way to live, reaches out his hand just to get it slapped.
The curiosity of what lye beyond the door…. The light that he feared would be so bright it may blind him, he left the door barely cracked.
Sitting in frustration, unsatisfied with all aspects of his life that he was taught. The food was stale and tasteless, the school books-torn, the belief’s installed-outdated.
If only he could experience life through opportunity…
Due to other insecurities, this poor boy will remain in his dark world of unselected ignorance. Boring and lifeless. Without change, without light. No growth. Wilted was the soul within, just as a flower with no sun. The body grew, but the soul-stunted.
A life in the closet.

That is a profound message. I think I got the meaning behind it. It is true, we hold back growth with our old ways of thinking and learning! Not being able to accept something that may be different so we keep others surpressed.

Ok this is def a different swing on the writing. I like it. It made me read inbetween the lines. Nice!

I love this sad story, so reflective of the way so many people exist. Thanks for sharing this.

Wayne,
I think it is fear of the unknown that people reject. Sometimes growth can be scary because you don’t know what will come of it.
Thank you for your comment.

Cheri,
Yes alittle inbetween the lines, but you don’t have to look to hard which is good.

Mark, you are right. SSSSSoooooooo many people live this way, even today in our so called liberated culture; it is sad actually. And because our society allows it, it will continue until those people who are in the dark get brave enough to stand in the light!
Thanks again for your thoughts!!!!

Is this by any chance about someone you personally know? I think many people, on all levels will be able to relate in one way or another to this stroy.
